Tom M. Mehaffy (1859-1944)  Justice, Arkansas Supreme Court from 1927. born October 3, 1859 near Ripley, Miss.  Attended school for only ten months and was self educated. Admitted to Arkansas bar in 1888 and began practicing at Benton. Served terms in both branches of state legislature. Moved to Little Rock in 1905.  Member of Benton Lodge No. 34, Benton, Arkansas.
