Project statement:
Our goal is
to identify the kinship of men with the last name Poe or variant spelling. As
more join the project, we will be able to identify various lines of descent.
Important
Note: You must be
male and a direct descendant of a Poe ancestor to participate since this is an
analysis of “markers” on the Y-chromosome (which only males have and which is
passed from father to son, intact, except for random mutations).

questions, please email William Poe,
the Group Administrator. The
initial cost is $99 for the “12-marker” test that shows what family you belong
to. The process only requires a cotton swab rubbed on the cheek lining inside
the mouth. The kit sent to you includes instructions and the swab, etc.
